Untitled

I am a qualified Art, Design and Photography teacher and have been teaching for nearly 10 years in Sussex.
I specialise in drawing using a variety of Mixed Media. Working in this way allows freedom and spontaneity which I encourage in my teaching.
Art is a great form of therapy and can help people to switch off from the outside world.
Art therapy benefits mental health in the following ways:
* Relieves stress* Encourages creativity* Boosts self esteem* Expresses feelings* Increases empathy* Increases dopamine* Eases the burden of chronic conditions
Through teaching mixed media techniques I also encourage students to express themselves in a personal way which helps them to gain these therapeutic benefits.

Home: About Me

Art for the soul is a 6 week course exploring different themes. The initial theme is inspired by the beautiful landscape in which we live and is named "By the Sea".
It is aimed at all abilities and sessions are differentiated to guide each individual from beginners to more advanced artists.
You will learn how to draw and be encouraged to experiment using different mixed media resources.

Learning a variety of mark making techniques using pen, pencils and charcoal. Introduction to mixed media.

Focussing on drawing from primary and secondary observation sources. You are encouraged to bring in some of your own sources related to the "By the sea" theme eg photographs or objects.
